This place is located on the Nainital-Almora route in Uttarakhand, which is approximately 17km from Nainital city and 9km from Bhawali.

By Air: The nearest airport is Pantnagar Airport (PGH), which is about 70 km away. Taxis or buses are an easy and available option from the airport.

By Rail: The closest railway station is Kathgodam (KGM), with an approximation of  45 km. This station is mostly connected to all major cities of India. Taxis or shared cabs are the easy and available option from the station.

Best Time to Visit Kainchi Dham Mandir

The months from March to June and September to November are considered the most suitable time to visit Kainchi Dham Mandir. Temple Timings

Mostly the temple opens from 6:00 am and closes at 7:00 pm, but the timings may vary during the winter months. The daily morning aarti starts from 6:30 am and the evening at around 6:00 pm.

Important Information

All visitors must wear decent clothes that cover the shoulders and knees.

Photography is not allowed in the temple.

Remove your shoes before entering the temple.

Minimise the use of cell phones inside the ashram and try to keep them on silent mode.

Pets are not allowed inside the Dham.

Accommodation and Food

The ashram has limited accommodation space available to visitors. This generally requires advanced permission and is primarily for devotees committing themselves deeply to spiritual activities, often for a short period. For outside accommodation, there are various hotels and guest houses available in Bhowali (around 9 km away) and Nainital (around 17 km away). 

The ashram serves ‘prasad’ (sacred food) on a schedule to devotees, alongside some local dhabas and small restaurants in Kainchi and the surrounding areas, serving simple, available food.
