The moment you step inside, you’ll notice something that is definitely mesmerizing with 1,444 intricately carved pillars where each one is different!

The quiet halls, soft sunlight and intricate carvings make Ranakpur not just a temple but a living poem in stone.

Key Travel Information

Location: Ranakpur, Pali District, Rajasthan

Nearest City: Udaipur

Architectural Style: Chaumukha (Four-Faced) Temple

Best Time to Visit: October to March

Distance from Delhi: Approx 605 to 660 km by road, you can easily cover it within 10 to 14 hours.

2. The Digamber Jain Bada Mandir is one of the holiest sites here and is also called the spiritual capital of Jainism.

It is believed that this holy land is the birthplace of three Tirthankaras-Shantinath, Kunthunath and Arahnath. The temple area is beautifully designed, with meditation halls and a tall Manastambh (pillar of pride) that represent a symbol of peace as well as humility.

There’s also a Jain Museum inside the complex where you can learn about ancient Jain history and artifacts-it’s genuinely fascinating!

Key Travel Information

Location: Hastinapur, Meerut District, Uttar Pradesh

Main Deities: Lord Shantinath, Lord Kunthunath, and Lord Arahnath

Special Feature: Ancient Jain Museum inside the complex

Best Time to Visit: October to March

Distance from Delhi: Approx 105 to 140 km by road, you can easily cover it within 3 to 4 hours.

5. The temple is dedicated to Lord Chandraprabhu, the 8th Tirthankara, and came into prominence when a miraculous idol was found there in 1956.

Surrounded by hills and endless skies, Tijara is the kind of place to sit in solitude, and as you do, you are struck with a visceral sense of calm.
